Lime Garden

Featured Artists: Lime Garden

I’ve heard Lime Garden touted for a few years now, but I never quite understood the fuss, until now. (Granted, I’m probably not their core target audience!)

For a bit of context, they are a Brighton-based indie rock quartet who blend disco, pop, and surf into a self-described "wonk pop" sound. The four members met at college in Guildford, originally playing under the name LIME before rebranding. (No idea if it has anything to do with the bikes. Or 1990s colours)

That’s where our crossover happens, they draw heavy inspiration from post-punk and indie-dance heavyweights like Metronomy, LCD Soundsystem, and Working Men's Club, a sound that comes through on their 2026 album, "Maybe Not Tonight".

"Cross My Heart" is exactly what I’ve been waiting for from them. Driven by a funky guitar riff, effortlessly cool verses, and a massive chorus, it captures the exact kind of alt (or wonk) pop I’m always looking for.

So yes, the new album is definitely worth checking out, and "Cross My Heart" is a strong contender for the 2026 list!
